Latest Shout-outs

As my upcoming promotion weekend for Core Haven: Hope Amid the Ruins approaches (Dec 5th through the 8th), I’m happy to report that some of the pieces are fitting together nicely. I’ve gotten quite a few more reviews, a free interview for a magazine article, a free press release written by a professional PR firm, a writing award, & numerous offers of more help—some of the free variety even.

Anyway, today’s post isn’t about all that; it’s about a shout-out to both an organization & an individual.

Reader’s House Magazine offered a free interview to those authors who applied. I was surprised when I got the acceptance email, enjoyed answering the well thought out questions, & sent it off. Fast forward through a few weeks of pedal-to-the-metal organizing, & I got a congratulatory email with a link to the article (all the images below have links embedded):

Needless to say, I was both amazed & humbled by the way the interview turned out. The level of professionalism & attention to detail is impressive, to say the least. I look forward to working more with them in the future.

Also, in last week’s post, I announced that I’d joined the ranks of authors on TikTok. Because of that, I saw a booktok by Annalise Reads, so I contracted with her to add Core Haven: Hope Amid the Ruins to her extensive list:

Disclaimer

This might start off with a second or two of an unrelated reel.

I gotta admit, I’m having a good time making reels for TikTok & YouTube, as well as seeing what other indie authors are trying out. Reminds me of moving to a new neighborhood where everybody waves & talks to each other, shares stories, & invites you to a cookout.

Here are a couple recent reels on both TikTok & YouTube (the first was a paid promo; the second is my goofiness emerging):

Till next time.

Drew

P.S. If by chance you’re interested in reading and thoughtfully reviewing either of my two companion novels, please see the Amazon links below. (And thanks so much in advance!)

I invite you to check out Lee Hall’s excellent video review, especially the first book he includes on his short list of memorable indie reads—uh-huh, that would be Pearl Fields and the Oregon Meltdown.

My first self-published novel, Pearl Fields and the Oregon Meltdown, is currently available on the Kindle Store & Kindle Unlimited.
