🎶Here comes the promo, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the promo, & I say— Help! I need somebody, Help!🎶
Actually, I may not have every last piece of this crazy promo stacking adventure lined out, but I feel confident enough to actually sing, 🎶It’s all right.🎶 (That’s in honor of my late Uncle Fab, as in Fab Four, the ultimate Beatles fanboy.)
As the first week of December approaches, here’s my latest checkoff list:

- ✅ social media posts ready to roll
- ✅ press releases launched
- __ mailing list ready to announce the promo stack
- ✅ book trailers made
- ✅ BookFunnel group promo lined out
- ✅ both companion novels visible on Google Books
- ✅ various trailers, posters, video reviews, etc. gathered
- ✅ 50 ratings milestone reached & passed on Amazon
- 55 as of 11-28-25
- ✅ 50 reviews milestone reached & passed on Amazon
- 52 as of 11-28-25
- ✅ over 100 ratings & reviews tallied on Goodreads
- __ my favorite adult beverage lined out & ready to savor.
Not too shabby…not too shabby. That was as close as Uncle Fab ever got to giving a compliment. And yes, he always said the same phrase twice while scratching the stubble on his chin.
Anyway, I’m wrapping this post up with a couple shout-outs. One is to Mercy Gold for her review on Medium:
The second shout-out goes to Shani_author, a booktoker who was kind enough to first post a preview, then read an excerpt of Core Haven: Hope Amid the Ruins on her excellent TikTok account.
OK, by popular demand I’ll also toss in another of my award-winning TikTok reels at the bottom—that would be the Drew Faraday Award for any reel reaching over 100 views, mind you.
Seriously though, I hope you see my next post right as my actual promo stacking begins & you get a flash of insight along with a voice in your head sounding like Uncle Fab’s: “Hey, I’m gonna buy that baby for around two bucks, read it, & then rate & review it on Amazon & Goodreads so I can help out that crazy nephew of mine. Not too shabby…not too shabby.” (Don’t forget to scratch your chin.)
